Portland, Maine Bike Map
For five years, I've served on Portland's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, which advises city councilors and staff on ways to improve conditions for walkers and cyclists in the City of Portland. For just as long, our group has talked about producing a bike map to promote the city's routes and encourage more people to try using their bicycles for transportation.
With a mini-grant from Healthy Portland, and a hefty base of personal experience from cycling the region's roadways to work and errands, I started moonlighting on a bike map project last year. Not long after that, I had the good fortune of finding an eager collaborator in Sean Wilkinson of Might & Main, who designed the cover, advised on typography and colors, and otherwise made it look sharp. And now...

The first and only Portland Maine Bike Map highlights bike routes, lanes, and paths from Falmouth to Scarborough, Casco Bay to Westbrook - almost everyplace you can comfortably reach in an easy hour's ride from downtown Portland.
It's retailing for $6, and you can find it in person at these locations (more to come!):
